"PROGETTO LINGUA ITALIANA DANTE ALIGHIERI


The Rome Branch of Dante Alighieri Society is an Official Centre of examination for the issue of certification P.L.I.D.A. (Progetto Lingua Italiana Dante Alighieri).
The PLIDA certificate is an official diploma issued by the Dante Alighieri Society by a formal agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (n. 1903 of Nov. 4, 1993) and with the scientific approval of the University “La Sapienza” of Rome (June 29, 2004). PLIDA is also recognized by the Ministry of Employment and Welfare (decree of October 18, 2002) and by the Ministry of Education, University and Research (February 11, 2004).

The PLIDA certificate is an official diploma issued by the Dante Alighieri Society by a formal agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (n. 1903 of Nov. 4, 1993) and with the scientific approval of the University “La Sapienza” of Rome (June 29, 2004). PLIDA is also recognized by the Ministry of Employment and Welfare (decree of October 18, 2002) and by the Ministry of Education, University and Research (February 11, 2004).
The PLIDA certificate attests competence in Italian as a foreign language according to a scale of six levels, corresponding to six phases in the progression of learning. The levels advance from A1 to C2 in progression of difficulty and correspond to the levels established by the Council of Europe (Common European Framework for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment. Modern Languages Division, Strasbourg, 2001)

Beginning italian Plida A1 = A1 Q.C.E. (Level of contact)
  Plida A2 = A2 Q.C.E. (Level of survival)
Fundamental italian Plida B1 = B1 Q.C.E. (Level of threshold)
  Plida B2 = B2 Q.C.E. (Level of progress)
Professional italian Plida C2 = C1 Q.C.E. (Level of effectiveness)
  Plida C1 = C2 Q.C.E. (Level of mastery)
